The Caring Shop is a mental health practice that specializes in Eating Disorders, Anxiety and Depression. Available in-person or virtual.
She graduated from the University of Oklahoma and earned her masters degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Houston-Victoria. Before counseling, Carli was a fourth grade teacher equipped with training from Teach For America.
Carli is passionate about the freedom that can be found in therapy from past trauma, fear of the future, and body image shame. More than anything, Carli values empathy, compassion, and warmth in session, while also providing a safe space to be challenged towards growth. She uses therapy tools from Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
Carli has extensive training in working with children, adolescents, and eating disorders.
If hopelessness, food, body image, or anxiety is getting the best of you, Carli would be a great source of support.
Corey utilizes the evidence-based approach of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well mindfulness techniques and plenty of self-compassion to create a safe and validating space in which growth and change can occur. With a compassionate and empowering approach, Corey encourages clients to break free from the chains of their struggles and discover a life filled with hope, resilience, and self-acceptance.
If you're burdened by the challenge of eating, body image, anxiety, depression, or just plain feeling ”stuck,” Corey is here to provide you with a safe and supportive space to embark on your journey
